“It’s money 2.0, a huge huge huge deal.”
Chamath Palihapitiya

What interests us is the money itself and its effect on our society – not the metaphysical implications, however fascinating they might be.
This course aims to explain the history of money, from the very beginning of trade to fiat currencies. As it happens, we are standing on the verge of the possible revolution that will shake the foundations of global economy and, as some claim, make the ubiquitous cash obsolete.
For a number of enthusiasts, cryptocurrency is a sign of economic liberation and a step towards a truly egalitarian global society.
“Bitcoin is the beginning of something great: a currency without a government, something necessary and imperative.”
Nassim Taleb
